VOCABULARY
One of the most common questions I get from students is ‘how do I improve my vocabulary?’
The answer is simple – read!
Reading as much as you can, in English, is the single best way to improve vocabulary.
In addition, you should also use a dictionary and keep a notebook. Traditionally, a written notebook helps you to remember the words more easily. But for practical reasons you can also keep a New Vocab page in the Notes on your mobile.
There are also a number of FREE online sites to help students improve their vocabulary. Here are my suggestions for some of the best ones:

Reverse Dictionary.com – type in the definition, and this site will suggest which word you’re looking for. It’s like a words version of Shazam!

WordNik – much more than just a regular dictionary! When you search for a word in Wordnik you receive many different definitions, examples of usage taken from different online sources, lists of synonyms and antonyms, related words, a reverse dictionary, and many more useful references.

WordHippo.com – thesaurus and word tools for your creative needs.
